Walk a forest other players are in

Wandrian is a multiplayer nature-fantasy RPG you play in a browser tab. The forest is a shared place rather than a private instance: other real characters are walking the same ground at the same time, and you watch them move, fight and fall. Creatures are visible on the board and fought where they stand, so there is no encounter screen between you and the wood. Help bring something down and you are paid for it.

Permadeath that means something

Roll a hardcore character and death is final. Every hardcore death is announced to the whole world and written into the graveyard, alongside how far that character got and what killed them. Combat is resolved entirely on the server, so the ladder is a record of what people actually did rather than what their browser claimed.

Twenty named places and two wardens

Two Acts of ten areas, each with its own palette, layout and arrival line — from Bramblewatch Edge and the Coinleaf Grove down through the Sapward Bog to Palewood and the Ember March. Each Act ends with something standing in the way: Thistlemaw, Warden of the Fallen Wood, at area ten, and Hollowcrown, Keeper of the Ember March, at twenty. Each area also hides one thing to find, once per character, ever.

Build a character that is yours

Start as a Wizard, a Thornguard or a Windrider and climb your class through five tiers by way of the Broken Bridge Trial — a one-way gamble that promotes you or sends you back to level one. Every level earns a skill point, spent in your own tree: sweeping spells, weapon strikes, passives and reserved-mana auras. Gather herbs, brew potions, forge and reforge gear at the blacksmith, and trade on a player-driven auction house where prices are whatever the woods will bear.

Wandrian runs on a phone, but it is built for a bigger screen — some panels are cramped and a few are still awkward to use. You can start here and pick the same character up on a laptop later; your progress lives on the server, not on this device.
